Candidates

Siddharth Parambath

As a dedicated law student with a profound love for leisure reading, I am thrilled to put forth my candidacy for the position of Events Officer at the UCL Book Club. Our esteemed club serves as a haven for book enthusiasts, fostering engaging discussions on a diverse array of literary works, ranging from novels to poetry.

In my candidacy for Events Officer, I aspire to infuse our club with fresh and exciting activities that will captivate our members' imaginations and enhance their overall experience. Here's a glimpse of my proposed initiatives:

1. Literary Scavenger Hunt: Planning a campus-wide scavenger hunt with clues and challenges inspired by famous literary works, encouraging members to explore different locations while testing their knowledge of literature.

2. Book-themed Movie Marathon: Hosting a movie marathon featuring film adaptations of popular books, complete with themed snacks and discussion breaks between screenings to compare and contrast the adaptations with their literary counterparts.

3. Book Art Workshop: Offering a hands-on workshop where members can explore various artistic techniques, such as bookbinding, calligraphy, or illustration, to create their own literary-inspired artworks.

With your support, I am eager to bring these dynamic events to fruition and create memorable experiences that will enrich the UCL Book Club community. Together, let's continue to celebrate the joy of reading and cultivate a thriving literary culture on our campus.
