You've probably seen me tearing it up at Scala Sports night or casually vibing at Phineas Jazz night - it's no secret I love a good time! Now I'm throwing my hat in the ring for Basketball Social Secretary.

Beyond playing basketball and dropping my killer 9 am hoops playlist at the LUSL training, I'm all about building a tight-knit community. Imagine more joint sessions between 1st, 2nd, and LUSL, post-game hangouts (dumplings at Bailey's, anyone?), pub crawls, day trips, and yes, you heard it, Basketball Scala WILL happen! Let's make our court time as memorable as our off-court shenanigans. 🏀✨ #GameOn #MakeShanPround

Lola Clarke

Hi everyone!! :)

My name's Lola and I'm a NatSci student in the UCLWB 2s team this year.

I've had so much fun playing in the club, and the social side has been particularly invaluable to me as a fresher looking to build real, fun friendships with people. And I know many of you have felt the same; getting to know people on and off the court has reinforced for me that the girls I meet through basketball, all of you <3, are consistently some of the loveliest and most supportive people out there.

As much as I myself love to go to Phineas every now and then (to celebrate the many UCLWB victories), I'd aim to also have more engaging daytime activities that don't involve drinking (boo!) but will help us engage and build more friendships and chemistry throughout the teams (yippee!!). For example, boardgame nights, wellbeing sessions (to support all you academic weapons), more Mums and Moms events, and even inter-society events (and of course I'm always open to suggestions :D).

The club means a lot to me. It has given me many wonderful and hilarious friendships and memories, and I would truly appreciate the chance to give back as much as I can, and help keep up its friendly and fun environment. Having seen the amazing effort and dedication from the committee members this year, it would be an honour to keep the club (the best one at UCL!!) growing and thriving.
