Sejal Jain

Hello everyone! I'm Sejal, a first-year BSc Economics student, running for the Treasurer of the UCL Asset Management Society. My academic background in finance, coupled with hands-on experience from my internship in a non-banking financial company as a Research and Trading Analyst, provides a solid foundation in financial management and investment analysis. The insights gained in market trends and portfolio analysis align perfectly with the Treasurer's responsibilities.

My attention to detail and analytical skills will be invaluable in ensuring the accurate tracking and reporting of society's financial transactions. Moreover, my effective communication and interpersonal skills will facilitate collaboration with other committee members, ensuring transparency and cooperation. I am committed to maintaining the financial health of society, implementing sound fiscal policies, and exploring innovative fundraising strategies.

In the upcoming year, my primary goal as Treasurer would be to enhance the financial sustainability of the society. I plan to achieve this by implementing a comprehensive budgeting system, identifying potential revenue streams, and optimizing fund allocation to maximize the impact of our initiatives.

In summary, my vision is to foster a financially robust society, creating a dynamic learning environment equipping members for financial excellence. I aim to propel the UCL Asset Management Society to further success. Thank you for believing in my vision.

Ryan Lim

Dear Esteemed Members of UCL Asset Management Society,

It is with great honour and enthusiasm that I announce my candidacy for the position of Treasurer. I sincerely seek your support in continuing our journey towards excellence.

In my current roles as First Year Representative and Investment Analyst for the society, I have actively contributed by providing macroeconomic updates and delivering stock pitches to our investment team. Additionally, I have assisted with administrative tasks for our events, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants. Through these experiences, I have witnessed the unwavering dedication of the current committee in orchestrating exceptional events, from insightful speaker sessions and the impactful financial bootcamp to the enjoyable socials. The collective impact of these activities on our members' understanding of finance has been profound, reinforcing my belief in the society's potential to create significant value for the student body.

If entrusted with this role, I pledge to work tirelessly to foster the society's growth and enhance the experience for all members. My vision includes leveraging the budget strategically to support core initiatives such as the enriching networking events, vibrant society socials, and insightful speaker engagements.

I am eager for the opportunity to serve the society and contribute to its ongoing success. Your belief in me and my vision is truly appreciated.

Thank you for considering my candidacy.
