I am writing to express my earnest interest in serving as your next Welfare Officer.

In my previous role as a well-being mentor at a summer camp, I had the privilege of developing my interpersonal and problem-solving skills by playing a key role in facilitating and nurturing an effective channel of communication between parents and teachers, and among students. When faced with students struggling with anxiety, I approached each situation with patience and empathy, guiding them towards setting achievable goals, formulating action plans. I am committed to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere where students feel comfortable to express their true thoughts and concerns. This role honed my ability to listen attentively, respond with compassion –skills I believe are crucial for the role of Welfare Officer.

As Welfare Officer, my priority will be to ensure that our society remains an inclusive space where art continues to be a source of healing and empowerment. I plan to introduce new initiatives that foster a deeper connection among our members, such as peer-support art groups and collaborative projects that highlight the importance of mental health awareness. Moreover, I am committed to advocating for mental health resources and support within our community, ensuring that our members have access to the care and information they need.

Thank you for considering my nomination. I am eager to bring my skills and enthusiasm to the position.
