I am currently studying for a BSc in Crime and Security Science, and before joining UCL, I was a consulting apprentice at PwC - where I focused on data, AI and machine learning. While at PwC, I built and aided in developing several data assets, from idea to pitching to clients, who purchased those assets, where the underlying technology was data science, AI or similar. I will bring these skills to this role and the society. I also had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from some of our strategic alliances, including AWS, Google and Microsoft.
As the Head of Nexus Labs, I aspire to bring my real-world insights and experience to the society, leadership and project teams. The scope of data and AI is constantly adapting and changing to the world around us. I want to harness a culture of innovation and learning within the teams by using industry best practices to adapt to these changes. I believe in and have seen the importance of cognitive diversity within a team and organisation; therefore, I will actively encourage this within the teams. Through my role and connections at PwC, I will utilise them to provide teams with insights from real-world practitioners through advice and opportunities.
I am enthusiastic and see the critical role of research and innovation within Nexus Labs in approaching data-related issues and solving them with AI. I look forward to exploring and developing my ideas and encouraging others to do the same within Nexus Labs.
