Shariya Anwar
Hey! I’m Shariya, a first year student in Psychology and Language Sciences. After having attended beginner’s boxing classes regularly these past two terms, I’ve fallen in love with the martial art and would love to contribute further to our club through my past experiences in roles like these.
As someone who has been involved in the arts and social media, one of my aims as Social Secretary would be to build upon the online presence of the club and have more people join the club as they find their passion for the martial arts by promoting our club throughout the university.
Moreover, I would like to have more regular socials because it helps those who are interested and passionate about boxing to meet, bond and find their sparring buddies over a night of fun and socialising. A fun idea to explore would be crossovers with other societies and clubs and having larger-scaled socials.
Another aspect that I would like to focus on would be having a larger variety of team merchandise that would allow us to represent UCL’s ABC even more.
Punching up fun and camaraderie one event at a time!
