Ultimate Frisbee Club: President

I love playing Ultimate Frisbee and would like to ensure the club continues to run smoothly next year and is able to provide a good experience for all players -- whether it be a welcoming one for new players interested to learn the sport or a rewarding one for experienced players that take the sport seriously and want to improve themselves in the competitive arena.

Hi everyone! I'm Derek and I'm a 2nd Year Economics Student .

Having joined Ultimate Frisbee Club during reading week of term 1 as a beginner, I immediately felt very welcomed by the whole community. Everyone was really friendly and patient with helping out people who've never played like me!

As such I would love to continue the amazing job Rohan, the current president, has done to share the game of ultimate with everyone at UCL, from freshers to postgraduates, and people who have never touched a frisbee alike!

I have several experience managing and leading sports event such as being a Project Active Leader at UCL for the touch rugby sessions, and also running the football society at my middle school. These activities has helped a lot in developing my leadership skills in both co-ordinating training sessions but also communication and introducing beginners in how to play a new sport.

I also have a few ideas on events that ultimate frisbee club can hold for next year that I would love to implement, both for socials and for charitable events to help out the wider community!
