I would love to further my involvement in the science magazine society as treasurer. I am organised, enjoy problem solving and pay attention to detail. My resilience and commitment was demonstrated in my role as Medical society president in sixth form. I managed the structure of sessions so students could engage and further their knowledge. I was the ‘Action Changes Things' society president where I organised fundraising events, including multicultural days and festive events and a ‘Haderech' leader where I developed my leadership, communication and teamwork skills. I seek constructive outcomes in discussions and possess excellent interpersonal skills that allow me to work well with others. I have high levels of motivation and aim to support the committee to achieve our aims. I have demonstrated my reliability and engagement throughout my previous roles.I believe that my combination of skills and experience makes me the ideal candidate to take on the role as treasurer.

I have always been passionate about science, reading scientific magazines ever since I was a kid. I believe it is crucial to disseminate scientific findings to the non-scientific public, and what better way to break that barrier than through Science Magazine articles and events. As treasurer, I would work collaboratively with other committee members to ensure the society runs as efficiently as possible. I was the treasurer of the Student Council at my school, so I am familiar with the role and the responsibilities it entails. I am excited to offer my skills to help the society achieve its goals and objectives, as well as contribute ideas from my three years of studying Biochemistry. I am confident that I am the ideal candidate for this role, and I look forward to the opportunity of nourishing the UCL Science Magazine society.
