I am literally everyone's favourite. Everyone feels better after talking to me. Some may say, they feel well. Therefore I am running for welfare, as I feel as though this wellness produced from my labour should be distributed more fairly, to stop only the top 1% having all the wellness. I stand to unionise and make a change to our wellness economics.
On slightly more of a serious note, one of my favourite aspects of this society is the people I've met, whether they've come regularly or just whenever they can. We are a very social group of people and I feel like I've connected very well with a lot of you and feel as though I am a friendly and approachable person for many people. I would be very honoured to help upkeep a positive environment in this society.
I know I often come off as being pretty silly and goofy during sessions, which I assuredly still will be, however, I value mental health very highly as well as caring about the people in this society a lot. I will be taking this job extremely seriously.
Hi, I'm Marian (for those who don't know) and I've been the welfare officer for both parkour and juggling and circus society for the past year. It's been really wonderful fulfilling the role and I would love the chance to do it again.
In the past year I've been able to get us to take part in some fun initiatives, such as the LaceUp! program for which we all got rainbow laces (come and find me if you missed them!). I also have some more fun things planned before the year ends if all goes well with stealing SU funding.
As a psychology student, mental health is really important to me, so I really do want to help make the club a place where everyone feels safe and happy :)
