Netball Club: President

Hey everyone! I'm Katie and I've decided to run for president this year:)

Netball has been one of the best parts of my University experience so far, and this has made me want to become more involved in this community and help the club continue to be the successful, friendly and inclusive society it is. 

I believe I am an organised and reliable individual, capable of handling the responsibility that this role entails. As, like many of our members, I have been playing netball since I was very young. So I understand what makes the game great, and most importantly the importance of the people behind the scenes. I understand the commitment that's required of this role and I'm willing to dedicate my time and energy to ensure I do it justice.

I'm friendly and approachable, and I hope to be a great point of contact between the Union and our members. I think it's important to listen to what our members want out of the club, and I will work my hardest to make these things a reality! I'm keen to take on all the training (and use Sasha's guidance!) so I can perform this role to the best of my ability.  

This year I would like to focus on development, ensuring that we become stronger as players and as teams at all levels. But simultaneously, I believe the club is not just about success within the game. Netball has been great in helping me make connections, have fun, and really helped me settle into university life, so I want to carry on and add to the great social side of UCNC!
