Kinesis Magazine: President

Hi Everyone!

Having had the honour of holding the position of President of Kinesis over the past academic year, I wish to continue in building the future of Kinesis. Being hands-on with the society through writing, editing and organising social events alongside the wonderful members of our science magazine has reaffirmed the warmth that our members can bring to topics close to their hearts. Leading the committee, I have been responsible for ensuring the society has continued to grow, including our yearly focus of writing the special issue - this year having focused on the interplay between culture and scientific discovery.

In the following year, I wish to provide more support to our team as a whole, ensuring we can continue to welcome new writers, editors and artists to the fold. I will continue to ensure the whole committee and the members of Kinesis have a say in the large decisions, including themes for issues. I will ensure collaboration between other media magazines occurs during our introductory weeks, including writers and editors welcome sessions so a greater number of individuals are welcomed to partake in student media. I also aim to learn from the difficulties this year and organise social events independently, ensuring we can offer a variety of different socials, including support sessions and board game socials. 

Kinesis has been an integral part of my journey at UCL and I hope to lead Kinesis into 2024.
