Ciao tutti! Sono Danilo and I am from Ravenna & London and I would love to be your Vice President next year! I was VP of the Italian Society last year (2021–22) and president of the European Society these past 2 years, and thus I have a lot of experience in leading societies and creating fun socials! I also have a lot of experience in helping with the organisation and teaching of language classes. As Welfare Officer I will strive to always being there for every single one of you and to support you as much as I can, either by signposting, being a shower to cry or emailing Student Support for you – I will always be there for you all. I will also ensure that there arre fortnightly events in the Italian Society (such as aperitivos, movie nights, pub socials, quizzes, pasta making and more!) , with the main purpose being for Italians and non Italians to meet eachother and make friends! I will also reach out to other Italians societies across the UK (and beyond) & host online and in person events for our members in order to create even more networking opportunities and (more importantly) friendships. Additionally, I want to create even more language learning/improving opportunities – such as specific learner levels groupchats and language coffee afternoons – in addition to the fantastic language lessons. I also want to showcase the regional languages of Italian (such as Sicilian) and other aspects of Italy. I also will collect regular feedback and listen to it in order to make the society the very best it can be. Please

Ciao a tutti!!!
Having been in UCL Italian society since first year, this is my third year as a member and I am very excited to get more involved in the society—I'm hoping to join the committee to do this and to help us all have another great year as part of the society!! I have been learning Italian through the society for three years and have really felt welcomed into everything. As a committee member, I would push for greater collaboration through the United Italian societies, to get more events that bring us all together, like the Mercato aperitivo events of last academic year and the trip to Seven dials this year, but also more cosy events like the film night and King’s Italian society’s sunset walk recently.
