Geographical Society: President

Hey there, I'm Francesca - you know, the one you probably saw at the winter ball, greeting you at the entrance, checking your ticket?

I am standing for the position of president for the geographical society because I am passionate about creating a positive and inclusive environment where all members can share their interests and intellect. As a first year representative and academic representative, I have had the privilege of witnessing the incredible potential of this society and have had the chance to meet so many amazing people who share my love for geography! I am motivated to continue the legacy of this society and work towards bringing all year groups together to share our passion for geography.

With my experience in event planning and communication skills, I believe that I can facilitate an environment where everyone feels heard and valued. My goal as president is to not only ensure the smooth running of the society but to also encourage more members to get involved, share their ideas, and contribute to the growth of the society. I would love the different year groups to mingle like continents drifting together, but also for people in the same year group to stick together like the north and south poles - with more events, of course!

So, if you're into maps, adventure, and maybe even some questionable tea party etiquette, then I am the president for you!
