Filipino Society: Treasurer

Hi,I'm Brenadette and I'll be running for treasurer this year!

For me, FilSoc is what MADE my first and second year at UCL. Now, as I approach my third year, I am eager to pay it forward and replicate the amazing experiences I’ve had for future members.

As a candidate for treasurer, my goal is simple: to take our finances from zero to a hundred. To get the most out of your membership, I endeavor to make connections with businesses to get the best deals and discounts. I will also collaborate with other Filipino societies to help you build your network. I promise to put the needs and interests of our members first and to always be responsive to your concerns. So, if you guys have any feedback or requests, I got you. I am dedicated to building a strong financial foundation for FilSoc, and I will work to ensure that our resources are used to create the best possible experiences and opportunities for all members while sticking to a student friendly budget, so that money will never be a reason for you to miss out.

I'm pretty good at using a calculator, and living the student life has helped me to be savvy with my spending so I can assure you that your money will be in good hands. 

Money may not buy happiness but, it does help fund our events. As your potential treasurer, I believe it's my responsibility to make sure that our society's money is well-managed and spent wisely, so that we can continue to make happy memories together.
