Fencing Club: Vice President

Hello everyone. My past year on the committee as Armourer has been an exceptional experience and I am grateful for everyone's efforts to improve the club. Many of these improvements, though, are dependent on the continued dedication of all committee members to the welfare of the club. Therefore, my focus in this role would be to improve its internal organisation to reduce the necessity of these efforts such as by coordinating with the secretary and social secretary to improve the transparency of the club and reduce its need for ad hoc announcements. This would be while continuing the official responsibilities of assisting the President to reduce the amount of paperwork and number of communications the role was faced with last year.

Hello! Many of you will have seen me around, whether it's been at matches, helping out with the novices or just fencing on a Thursday or Saturday. I've been the novice rep over this past year, and would like to run for vice president. Having realized that a position as novice rep required me to be present for many beginner's sessions which clashed with match days, I decided to run for a more administrative position where I can assist the rest of the committee in managing the club in whatever way I can. I love both the sport and this club, and am aware of the challenges that the leadership would need to overcome to make the club a bette environment for both beginners and advanced fencers. Overall, I hope to keep supporting this club and making it grow and prosper.
