Mats Saillez

Hi everyone! My name is Mats and I'd like to be your new energy society president. I joined the society this year as energy is a field I'm really interested in, and I wanted to meet like-minded people, network with those already working on exciting projects, and have a place to learn more and hear different points of view. I'd love for next year to have more events going on, more socials, and opportunities for all the members. For example, many academic societies attract big companies and interesting startups to come speak at the university, which is something we could focus on in the coming year. I believe that something that would really benefit the society as a whole would be to have more communication with the members, so that the events everyone envisions in the society can come to life. I would like the society to be somewhere where anyone who simply as an interest in energy to come together and continue exploring this field together. I hope I can count on your vote!

Kunjam Kunjam

Hey everyone! I am Kunjam and I am a 2nd year Economics student :)

I am passionate about energy-related issues and have a strong desire to make a positive impact in this field. I believe that the society has the potential to be an incredible platform for students to learn about the latest developments in energy technology and policy, network with experts and peers, and make a real difference in the energy sector.

However, I recognize that the society was largely inactive last year, and I want to change that by reviving it. My vision for the society is to organize engaging events, foster collaboration with other societies and institutions, and create opportunities for members to develop their skills and knowledge in the field of energy. I also want to draw potential sponsors for the society and host networking events. I am committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within the society and creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all members to participate and contribute.

Overall, I believe that the position of President of the UCL Energy Society presents a unique opportunity for me to channel my passion for energy into tangible action and create a lasting impact. I am excited to take on this challenge and work collaboratively with other members to achieve our shared goals.
