Dementia Research Society: President

Hi guys, I am a second year Neuroscience student and the current vice president, therefore I believe you should vote for me because I have the right set of skills to step up into this role. I have really enjoyed my role in this committee and have learned so much from this year which I hopefully can bring into the next year as president. I have always been interested in dementia research even when applying for UCL and have learned much more through our talks this year from the researchers that came in and shared their novel research.

If elected I hope to continue the society’s academic talks that are accessible to students from all degrees and continue collaborating with other societies. Moreover, I hope to plan some fundraising events for dementia research charities next year and help them fund the necessary research that is helping the population affected by dementia. If elected, I would also like to do some career events to help members learn how to progress in this field.
