Sofia Anyi Oliviero

Hello! My name is Sofia Anyi Oliviero and I am really excited to run for Welfare officer of Consulting society. Being a university student certainly comes with its own sphere of challenges, especially in such a busy and academically rigorous environment like UCL. I therefore believe this is a truly significant role, as I would love to provide a helping hand to ensure the best systems offering mental health and well-being support are implemented within the society and among its members.

Having attended Consulting society’s socials and events this year, it is clear that the club has cultivated an encouraging and informative environment, which I believe is so important for students.

Previous experience as a Well-being student mentor during my years at sixth form make me feel equipped and confident to take on this role. I have been involved in organizing activities to help new students feel more comfortable with their peers as well as organising mental health awareness and fundraiser events.

As Welfare Officer:

-By nature, I hope my warm and engaging personality would encourage people to feel comfortable coming to me to discuss a concern or to help signpost them to a professional

-Strong communication with UCL mental health services to ensure members are aware of who to reach out to and the support available

-Place a strong focus on Diversity and Inclusion(LGBTQ+/ BAME/Disability/etc.) to ensure all members of UCL Consulting society feel welcomed

-Focus on maintaining an open environment within the society, so members feel

Trayi Sharma

Hi, my name is Trayi and I am a first year MEng Mathematical Computation student. This year I was also a First Year Representative for the Consulting Society. I have been considering consulting as a potential career path and over the last few months my interest in the field has increased. By joining the Consulting Society, I would like to develop and deepen my knowledge about the industry while meeting new people and making connections. I would also like to help the society in supporting its members and providing opportunities for them. I would like to be a Welfare Officer so I can gain experience with different departments in the society while doing my role. Thank you.

Kriti Chatterjee

My name is Kriti Chatterjee and I am running for the ‘Welfare Officer’ position for the consulting society. As the Head of project recruitment last year I have gained ample insight into the inner workings of the society and believe that I can truly execute the smooth functioning of ensuring that the consulting society creates an environment where an ecosystem of talented individuals thrive professionally and personally.

As the consulting society Welfare officer I want to prioritise on the following areas:

  1. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Ensuring that we create an environment where everyone feels respected and valued
  2. Feedback and Communication: Creating transparent lines of communication and a complete feedback system with the creation of streamlined channels for members to share their concerns, suggestions and ideas so that the society can work in the favour of their most important assets.
  3. Social Events: Forming a crucial component of fostering a supportive community within the Consulting Society. I will work to organise events that bring members together and provide opportunities for them to form connections and build relationships with one another.
