As a first-year student, I am thrilled to join the tango society at UCL. The society's welcoming environment has quickly made me feel part of the group and eager to participate in our weekly events. With my extensive experience in leadership roles during high school as YMCA camp leader, MUN deputy president, as well as class president I am confident that I can contribute meaningfully as the society’s Class and Scheduling Coordinator next year and to its growth and success.

I believe my strong organizational skills will come in handy while assisting the society's planning and organizing events. As a team player, I understand the importance of effective communication and collaboration to achieve common goals. I believe that my communication and interpersonal skills can help create a positive and supportive atmosphere that encourages active participation and engagement. Furthermore, dancing is a great way to relieve stress and improve my mental health. The society's events provide an opportunity to destress and build meaningful connections with fellow students/dancers.

In conclusion, joining the tango society’s committee will not only allow me to indulge in my passion for dance but also provide me with an opportunity to contribute to a community I resonate with. I believe that my leadership and organizational skills, and passion make me a valuable addition to the society. I am eager to actively participate in society's events and contribute to its growth and success.
