Hello I'm Fiona! I'm a 1st year Arts and Sciences student standing for 180D’s Treasurer. I’ve really enjoyed getting to be a part of 180D this year – although I’ve only been a consultant since Term 2, It’s been such an rewarding experience getting to know and work with all the talented people here and I can only hope to contribute to that in the coming term!

Why 180D? I've learnt so much about systematic problem-solving and teamwork through this soc. The actual consulting is one aspect, but experiences working with my group and observing how the society's been operating have solidified my interest in involving myself further through committee. The philosophy of consulting for good is so evident, and the opportunity help build on past committees' work and add to this encouraging environment would be a huge honour.

I consider my strengths as I'm organised, pay attention to detail, and love to work with people! I also really really love spreadsheets, a great quality in a Treasurer :). In terms of background, I've undertaken a consulting project back in high school, and my role consulting with 180D entails calculations with market size. Many numbers indeed..

The Treasurer role of managing funds, liaising with potential sponsors and organising events really does call for an active effort in ensuring things run behind the scenes. It's an effort I'm ready to give, and with interest B).

Thanks for taking the time!

Charlotte Stenning

180DC has stood out to me as a unique society due to the tangible and critical impact it has on the world. In particular, the combination of working with NGOs to expand outreach and develop strategy, while allowing consultants to gain invaluable skills piqued my interest in the society. As Treasurer of 180DC, I would spur the society forward and attain funding for more events and skills development workshops.

Although I may be a relative newcomer to 180DC, I am passionate about all the work 180DC does and acutely aware of how important it is. Volunteering at a local foodbank every Saturday has highlighted to me how NGOs value any strategic advice they can get because their resources are stretched so thinly. This has made it clear to me that I want to get involved in 180DC as much as possible.

I would be thrilled to work on the committee as Treasurer to make sure 180DC can continue to do the work it already does so well. I have worked in business operations for over 2 years which has equipped me with the insight and skills needed for me to deliver as Treasurer. I will work hard to subsidise events as much as possible so that all members can enjoy them and I will work with the committee to widen participation – I think we can gain even more membership by promoting the valuable work we do as consultants. I’m ready for this challenge and keen to support the society in my last year at UCL. 180DC has huge potential, and I am driven and ready to make it a reality.

Siya Goyal

Hi everyone, I’m Siya and will be going into my second year as BSc Econ Student!

180 DC is a society I truly value due to its social impact and its transformative capabilities. I am keen to further improve the society as Treasurer through accurate budget allocation, financial planning and the mitigation of risks.

I have experience in financial control and budgeting through my accountancy experience at Deloitte and strong mathematical abilities. I am extremely organised which is a key attribute of a treasurer: I balance my university work with being an Economics Correspondent at the UCL Tribune, M&A Sortino Group Analyst and netball team commitments. I understand the importance of communication and teamwork in this role and will do my best to ensure everyone’s objectives are met!

Thank you for reading and I hope you vote for me!
