Yoga and Meditation Club: Welfare Officer

I started yoga for fitness five years ago, but it quickly extended to improve my mental health. I want to create a welcoming environment for all people to access the benefits of yoga. I will seek to further this comfort through social support and would be available to answer any queries or concerns and direct people if they need help.

As welfare officer, I would ensure that the yoga community thrives. I have worked in teams before in both lead and support roles, such as arranging charity events and leading assemblies, so I understand the importance of guidance and having a warm person to come to when issues arise. I used to work as a technician in an office and was the port of call for assistance when it came to any problems. I would either be able to fix them immediately or identify and contact someone who could and then follow up on this; thus, I have experience with problem-solving, which would complement this position well.
