With a love for design, I regard the position of Marketing Director as one that is centrally aligned with my interests. Throughout high school and the first year of university, I've consistently taken on the task of keynote design and deck building, which largely shaped the modern, uncluttered feel of my current design style. Furthermore, with experience in expository and journal writing, I am confident that the content output of the society will be concise and clear without sacrificing the excitement that society promotion often needs. Graphic design is a passion of mine that I love to explore; thus, I wouldn't mind committing extra time to ensure that a single post turns out the way I want it to. In fact, it is precisely this attention to detail that makes me a strong candidate for this position.

As Marketing Director of the UCL Volleyball Society, I hope to revamp the digital marketing and online presence of the society by introducing a sleeker and more consistent brand identity through the society logo, promotional output, and merchandise. The aim of next year's marketing direction will be to align the UCL Volleyball brand with the championship pedigree of its teams, while also capturing the dedication and enthusiasm of our society and its members.

I feel the role of marketing director could play a bigger role than just simply making members aware of upcoming events and dates. Rather, I think the role of a marketing director is to provide greater incentive to members to participate in events. While we all share the common interest of playing volleyball, sometimes events can be daunting to those who may feel unfamiliar to how volleyball events at UCL works. Therefore, I feel as if I can fill this gap. I feel I could be more of a 'marketer' in the way that would get more people to participate. In that way, we can all feel more connected as a community. I think my soft skills of being an avid communicator, as well as my creativity will help me realize my vision.
