United Nations Association: Welfare Officer

I am standing to be re-elected as UCLUNA Welfare Officer to give back to the society that defined my 1st year at UCL. Making me feel at home among other MUNers is a feeling I want to give back to every member, old and new. With the MUN circuit thriving again, I want to take us towards excellence. I will:

• Introduce UCLUNA Siblings - peer-support groups of varying size assigned randomly at the start of the year
• Hold bi-weekly, bookable meetings online where you can come in & share anything, MUN related or not, building on my time as Transition Mentor
• Create the Goal18 Initiative  - a program giving members access to talks, leadership opportunities & social impact projects, mobilising my network of UN officials, activists & academics as former UN Millennium Fellow & LIMUN Deputy Sec-Gen.
• Champion inclusivity via insightful social media campaigns, tailored opportunities & a fortified constitution, building on experience with EDI issues.
• Keep our newsletter & social media channels looking iconic with more member representation, UN content & takeovers (I’m learning Photoshop so y’all watch out)
• Work with the Events sub-com to establish society traditions - post-training session socials, karaoke & more via a flexible monthly events schedule
• Sponsor & adopt an owl as our knowledgeable & adorable UCLUNA mascot!
