Olly Fox de Klerk

Hi, I’m Olly, a first year History student.

Since joining UCL, I have signed up to three different societies: football, tennis and snowsports. By far and away, snowsports has made me feel most at home and welcomed within the club. Through trainings, competitions and, albeit, a limited number of socials, I have grown to love snowsports and all things associated with it even more than I did before uni.

If I were elected as treasurer of the society, I would endeavour to make the experience of members, both current and future, as worthwhile and fulfilling as my own, through the smooth coordination of all things financial and logistical. After all, it is only through the hard work of the committee members that everyone else gets to enjoy the snowsports society we know and love.

Whilst I may not have committee experience, I feel I am well suited to the role of treasurer. On top of being a hard worker, through years of sports, amongst other things, I am a team player. What's more, in a role such as treasurer, my organisational skills will shine through, as will my attention to detail. I take immense pride in all of my work, and I would throw myself entirely into the role.

Alongside the other committee members, I would strive to make the next academic year for snowsports even bigger and better than ever before!

Lana Rawlings

Hey, I’m Lana and I’m running to be your next snowsports treasurer. I’ve loved being part of snowsports this past year (have defo spent more time at socials and trainings than I have doing actual uni work) and I would love to be involved in organising the club and making it stay the same friendly and inclusive environment I’ve experienced.

Having survived almost 5 years and counting of uni, I’ve pretty much mastered budgeting and managing money. I have experience in finance with large transactions and I’ve also done maths at undergrad so I know my way around numbers.

This year as treasurer I would aim to:

  • Work with social secs to run events to raise money for the club for example bidding for a date with your chosen committee members
  • By running these events, I would aim to keep trainings etc. at the same price so they stay affordable for all members.
  • Physically chase people to ensure everyone pays for the events they come to. Also physically chase NUCO to send mark-up from ski trip if needed.
