Hi all! My name is Victoria, and I am a second-year Economics student and a current executive for External Relations and Events at UCL Consulting Society. I am running for the society’s Head of Sponsorship.
The Head of Sponsorship position will play an important role in securing funding for UCLCS so that we can continue to deliver the best events to you. Having organised an in-person case study event with an ex-McKinsey Consultant, which was well-received by our 50 + attendees, and the Women In Consulting Panel Event for International Women’s Day, I have exposed members to multiple perspectives to help them land a successful career in consulting. Hence, I intend to use my strong organisational and communication skills to secure great sponsorships for UCLCS by building strong relationships with consulting firms.
As Head of Sponsorship, I will also:
- Work closely with the treasurer to increase transparency within the committee about funding to budget more effectively for our future events.
- Collaborate with sponsors and our competitions division to host case competitions so leading consulting employers can recognise our members
A vote for me will ensure that UCLCS runs smoothly so that our members can continue to have the best experience. Thank you!
Hey everyone, I’m Gavin, a first-year Economics student, running for the role of Head of Sponsorships at Consulting Society. Through this role, I would like to help take Consulting Society to the next level, providing excellent opportunities for aspiring consultants to hone their skills. Sponsorships are fundamental to each society, and more sponsorships would mean more exclusive events of higher quality.
I believe my previous experiences will help in securing more sponsors:
1. Secured a partnership with BNP Paribas for my Sixth Form’s investment club, hosting activities with a view to securing an internship for select members
2. Assisted in securing sponsorships for the UCL Chinese Society Variety Show
3. Previous experience in drafting sponsorship contracts following an internship at a law firm
My goals for this role:
1. Maintaining existing relationships with sponsors, with a view to negotiating package upgrades
2. Leveraging both my own and UCL’s contacts to form relations with more firms, forging networks across the globe throughout the summer
3. Working closely with the VP of Client Projects to build relationships with small firms and start-ups to explore the possibility of sponsorships and projects
I believe the funding I can secure will help in hosting exceptional events and attract new members into Consulting Society, building a tight-knit community where everyone can develop and secure internships at the best consulting firms.
Hi everyone, my name is Mehar and I am running for Head of Sponsorship this year.
This role requires a strong communicator, to reach out to different people. Having done Finance related internships, I’ve appreciated the importance of maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues and clients, and believe that I can bring these skills to the society in order to make everyone’s experience memorable. Furthermore, having been exposed to various leadership roles, charity organisations, and events committee’s in the past, I have been able to develop my leadership and team working skills and has improved my ability to work well under pressure. These skills are essential to a successful head of sponsorships.
Some of my Aim’s:
1. Maintain existing sponsorship relations and gain new sponsors from a mixture of firms- Work closely with the President and Treasurer to reach out to relevant firms and secure both partnerships and sponsorships.
2. Introduce quantitative workshops to enhance students skillset.
3. Organise social events and other events which society members express interest in.
As an extremely extroverted individual, I’m always easy to approach, and I look forward to seeing you all in person and hearing your ideas!
I am a first-year Economics student.Having been a competitive sailor (captain) for 10 years I know what it takes to be a team member but also a leader that takes initiative.Sailing races are stressful environments that call for practicality, cold blood, and effective communication. I co-organized Turkey's first student-run sailing race (College Cup) which was FULLY sponsored by Coca-Cola and GoPro.Getting to have them by our side in such an entrepreneurial organization was hard but rewarding. It is now an annual race in Turkey and appears on the Turkish Sailing Federation's official calendar! During my time as the student body secretary, I was responsible for every written and/or verbal communication of the sponsors of an event (MayDay) we were organizing. It is my high school's traditional event (since 90+ years), which very famous Turkish singers/bands perform for 3000+ people and costs around roughly 50-55k pounds.Every year’s committee's job is to organize and find companies to sponsor MayDay.I am ambitious in what I do and a good communicator that makes people & companies see why I am doing what I do with such passion and drive! I plan to go into consulting but really, I'm still in my discovery period. Being a part of the CS will help me draw my own path whilst taking on important responsibilities that perfectly match my strengths.Given my relevant past experiences, I believe I would thrive in this position. Thank you!!!
