Miri Aung

Hello! I’m Miri, I’m running to be your Vice President this year!

Vice President is a role that requires much administration, determination and coordination. Through my past experiences in large-scale managerial roles, including running my own volunteering project for the disabled, I believe I have developed the communication and organisational skills required to help lead a team as large and active as Lightning.

From writing weekly newsletters to supporting behind-the-scenes in training and competition, I would be committed, diligent and reliable in every task. From past experience as Vice President of my school’s choir, I recognise the importance of a strong working relationship with my President. If elected, I'd strive to be a helpful pillar of support to them at every turn.

As the bridge between the President and the committee, I would be proactive in keeping up with the activities of each committee member, adapting to aid them in any way they require. More importantly, I would seek to be someone who is approachable to the entire club - answering questions, managing problems, and ultimately supporting and caring for all members.

As a hardworking, meticulous and dedicated individual, I believe I can give back to Lightning as a Vice President you can count on. I have had the most incredible experience in Lightning so far, and it would mean so much to help make the rest of our journeys just as meaningful. Thank you! :)

Anastasija Boikova

Hi, my name is Ana and I am currently a base for Bolt, studying Economics and Business at UCL. I am applying for the role of VP as I have the right skills for this position. I am hardworking, well organized. As you might know recently SSEES has been running a donation drive for Ukraine. I have organized their logistics to Ukraine and have also worked with other universities and companies to bring all the donations together and send them over. Therefore, I believe my skills can help this community grow and have better opportunities.

Enyo Pang

Hi Lightning! I'm Enyo and I'm running to be your Vice-President for the coming year.

Being new to cheerleading, I have received immense encouragement from the members, coaches and committee throughout this amazing year. I couldn't be more grateful to them which is why I am determined to give back to Lightning.

As VP, I will:

  • support the President and Treasurer in carrying out their duties
  • maintain communication and act as a link between the President and committee
  • assist the committee in planning, organising, and executing Lightning events, training, competitions, and socials
  • support, listen to, and connect with members to help Lightning become a more inclusive and tight-knit community

My experience and skills:

  • I was Chair of an ensemble where I developed administrative, organisational, and management skills
  • As a current Project Liaison for a volunteering initiative, I developed communication, incident response, and coordination skills

My qualities:

  • dedicated to cheerleading
  • passion for supporting and uplifting people
  • good time management, motivated, and organised

Feel free to ask me any questions by contacting me at [email protected] or in person at the AGM or trainings!

Iga R Frac

Over these past few months since I have joined the UCL Lightning, I have absolutely fallen in love with cheerleading and everyone in the society. The cheer community has turned out to be the opposite of the stereotypes - it is welcoming, inclusive and heart-warming. It helps to not only develop skills and character, but first and foremost build great connections and amazing friendships.

I am running as the Vice President to be able to give back to the community that made my year at UCL better than I have ever imagined it could be.

I have extensive organising experience, lot of dedication and great time-management skills, which allows me to ensure fulfilling all my duties and responsibilities. I would like to upkeep all the good practices of the previous committee, such as the newsletters with training reminders, as well as continue extending the opportunities for all Lightning members.

If elected, I hope to do my very best for the society.
