Cheerleading Club: Kit & Merchandise Secretary

Hi! I’m Karolina, current Training Kit & Uniform Secretary and I’m running to be your next Kit & Merch Sec! ☺️

Why me?

This year I have coordinated the order, rental and distribution of collectively nearly a hundred bows and uniforms, ensuring everyone is prepared for comps/varsity/showcase, building relationships & gaining the experience to undertake this process even better next year! I’m grateful to have served such a fulfilling role and I hope you were satisfied with the experience! ? 

Due to tight deadlines, there were many initiatives I didn’t manage to introduce - I would love a chance to do so next year!

If elected I will..

• Bring on a uniform rebrand (already in the works!) to make us stand out at comps! ⚡️
• Bring back our lovely training kit - shorts, bras, t-shirts and bows! ✨
• Continue the successful rental system to let our alumni sell their shoes/bows/garments ?
• Check-in with team members and captains regularly and discuss any problems with the uniform orders. 
• Come up with new, creative artworks for our merch designs! ?

Lightning love ⚡️

Over these past few months since I have joined the UCL Lightning, I have absolutely fallen in love with cheerleading and everyone in the society. The cheer community has turned out to be the opposite of the stereotypes - it is welcoming, inclusive and heart-warming. It helps to not only develop skills and character, but first and foremost build great connections and amazing friendships. 

I am running as the Kit and Merchandise Secretary to be able to give back to the community that made this year at UCL better than I have ever imagined. 

I have extensive organising experience, lot of dedication and great time-management skills, which allows me to ensure fulfilling all my duties and responsibilities.
I know how much good uniforms improve training and amplify being part of the team, hence why I will research the market for different providers and ensure a swift delivery to be certain our teams will have the best possible experience performing. 
Merchandise is vital in expressing our pride in being a cheerleader and our sense of belonging to this loving community of Lightning. I would like to provide the teams with a chance to vote on the most preferred designs, colours and items of clothing before placing orders.
