Being an outgoing and motivated person with a taste for leadership, I believe to be a suitable candidate for this role. I am the former Marketing & Business Development Assistant (Vendi), UCL M&A Group Events Executive, and Co-chief of my high school's ecological transition. I am an autonomous person that can take decisions when necessary while confronting everyone's opinions to find the best alternative.

If I were selected, I would develop Alumni networks, organize online meetings, create forums and more interactive platforms such as Instagram live Q&As with speakers.

The society would promote cooperation with new partners and organize competitions with other societies. Every member could have a voice and participate in the development of events!

Together, we could therefore develop this society.

Hello!

I’m Pavel, a student of Economics running for Client Relations VP. As the First-Year Executive at Business Society, I collaborated with the current Executives in organising events, successfully reached out to high-profile speakers, and moderated two panel events, including the Non-Finance Orientation Day.

During my time at Business Society, I’ve developed a connection with the committee, other professional societies, and our talented members. Driven by this, I am to make every minute with BizSoc worthwhile to you. Therefore, I will:

  1. Expand the prestige of UCL Business Society through valuable sponsorships from the world’s top firms.
  2. Cultivate new opportunities for our members through active collaboration with other UCL societies.
  3. Secure new partnerships with firms, business schools, and even university societies outside of UCL, to provide a set of initiatives unique to you as members. Think insight sessions with top sponsor firms, exclusive networking events, and engaging workshops: all aimed to put you a step ahead.

My experience in helping raise over £10,000 for the Robotics Club I co-founded at Brighton College makes me confident in running for this position. By building a society from scratch, securing 7 global sponsor firms, and helping manage a team of 25, I gained the essential skills for the role of Client Relations VP.

Jennifer Wang

Being a second-year student studying Economics and Statistics, I would like to devote myself to the UCL Business society as a Client Relations Vice President. 

Being an account manager at Uber enterprise, I was allowed to utilise my business analysis skill with the well-presented communication strategies when serving as a project leader in the onshore project in Taiwan. 

Serving as a finance part-time associate at Beiersdorf, I am able to penetrate into the core of financial analysis and therefore fully utilise my data-analysis skill.

More importantly, as I was the executive of Client Project/Relations for UCL Consulting and Real estate society respectively, I am fully equipped with sufficient experience of outreaching to the clients and leading to the ultimate success. 

Overall, I am keen to communicate with teammates and enjoy a sense of accomplishment when completing the tasks with the team. If I got elected for this role, I would like to maintain the excellence of previous client relationships but meanwhile innovate and improve them through the functional performance assessment and the brainstorming of the team.

My communication and leadership skills obtained from the previous experience have equipped me for being competent for this role. I would like to commit to UCL Business society using my professional knowledge. If you also want to take a leap, please vote for me.

Ananya Khurana

The UCL Business Society epitomises the qualities that resonate with me the most: networking, innovation and teamwork. In my opinion, the most important skill a committee member and VP of Client Relations in specific must possess is the skill of intricate communication. In my capacities as Head-Girl of a 15,000 student-strong school, Secretary-General of one of the largest MUNs in the Middle East, and an intern at EY, I have been exposed to the delicate world of communication and presentation. Thus I have learned the art of working with a dynamic group of people, team-building and resolution; all of which are key abilities to being a synergetic member of the committee. Having served as an FYR in the External Relations division at the Economist’s Society has allowed me to refine the aforementioned qualities, making me fit for the role of VP of Client Relations. My vision for the society, in the scope of the role, is to implement a reasonable number of initiatives, without affecting the running of current events in any form. Socials and networking with sponsors, and the further implementation of women/diversity targeted events would allow the society to expand its community and outreach amongst both students and clients. These initiatives sound intriguing in print, but I understand, through experience, the significance of following through and implementing these innovative ideas. 

 

Saloni Agarwal

I am a 2nd year BSc Statistics and Management for Business student. Through my volunteering experience at BUD Leaders where I am helping the organisation in business development and working on partnerships, I have gained essential coordination and negotiation skills and developed strong knowledge of social media which are basic competencies required for the role. I have gained expertise in managing teams through my previous leadership experiences which have further strengthened my communication, developed greater confidence in me to network with like-minded peers and people in the industry. I will work effectively to ensure that society partners with and attract more clients while working on their current relations. I will actively organise outreach campaigns and coordinate various events while increasing member participation in the society.
