Heloise Dufour

I am running because, after one year in UCLBC, I felt the need to be even more involved in the club’s life and organization. I want to fully enjoy my experience in the club, and I believe that being in the committee would help me build even stronger relations with other members.

I am specifically running for Media officer as I am thinking about working in this field later, so why not start now ? I’ve already done an internship in digital communications and am currently a communications manager in a junior enterprise. However, I feel like holding this position in UCLBC specifically would be more meaningful for me, as it would mean that I am doing something I enjoy while being in an environment I feel connected to : rowing. Furthermore, I’m very creative, as I’ve been drawing and doing photography for many years, as well as video-editing.

If I am elected, I hope to strongly emphasize the club’s values and convey a meaningful message on its various social media accounts, notably by showing how inclusive and diverse the club is. I really want to make UCLBC an attractive society, one that people will view as welcoming and open. I would consistently update the website as well as all social media accounts, on a very regular basis, for people to be aware of the club’s weekly achievements, even the smallest ones. In order to achieve this, I would also like to come regularly to the boathouse to chronicle the club’s activities.
