Basketball Club (Women's): President

Hi, my name is Luisa and I am running for the role of president. For those of you who don’t know me, I am a second year studying Mathematics. Coaching a team back home, I prepared practices, organized games and worked with club members to plan tournaments and basketball camps. I not only enjoy helping players improve on court, but also collaborating with others off court to come up with and implement new ideas to develop the club further.

Janka and I decided to run for the positions of president and treasurer together, because we know we work really well as a team and this way we can support each other to make sure everything runs smoothly. Basketball has been an important part of both of our lives for more than ten years now. That is why we both joined UCL women's basketball club as soon as we started studying here. After being in the club for two years, we would like to take on more responsibility and help develop our club. Being involved with the first-, second-, and LUSL team, we gained insight into the different aspects the club has to offer and we would like to use this experience to improve the communication between the different teams and organize more playing opportunities for everyone.

We hope to make UCLWB both a competitive basketball club and a fun and inclusive space for all to be in!
