Francesco Pierangeli

Hello everyone! I am Francesco, a second year PPE student with an enormous passion for art. After a marvellous year as a proud member of the Art Business Society, I am excited to run for Events Officer. What surprised me the most about the events that I attended this year is the possibility that we had to interact with eminent experts of Art Business in their everyday working routines, especially in auction houses such as Christie's or Sotheby's. As your Events Officer, I would strive to organise as many such events as possible, dealing with the highest possible number of environments that involve art and its business (auction houses, galleries, publishing houses, ateliers,...), because I strongly believe that art is able to enrich us and our spiritual and material experiences in different ways. In my years as a student, I have proved to have no shame in breaking boundaries and organising events with personalities that were considered impossible to approach, thanks to my ability to communicate and attention for details. Some of my goals for next year would be to open tours not just to a restricted number but to a larger number of members, and to schedule events with artists themselves, to ask them how they sell their art and behave in this constantly evolving business. Above all, I would definitely work with passion, because I love art more than anything else.

FUN FACT: my favourite artist is Vincent Van Gogh.

Hope to see you all soon... Long live art!
