If I am elected, I hope to achieve these two main objectives:
- Help build strong communities within the Halls.
- Represent fellow residents and meet regularly with UCL Accommodation staff.
Serving as a bridge between the students and the hall, I hope to negotiate and correctly identify issues and concerns and highlight positive areas. This will not only improve the current experience here for students but also for those to come. This will only be achieved through dedication, teamwork and mutual understanding which I know I will be assisted with via meetings and training.
I was a teacher for the past five years and I strongly believe that I can bring to this role a deep level of care, commitment and creativity.
Care is important to connect with my fellow flatmates and forge a healthy bond so that they can feel comfortable enough to express their ideas and or concerns.
Commitment is important because these representation roles require consistency and reliability- which I pride myself in.
Creativity is important because it can allow for greater contributions and new initiatives that the hall can use to make the students' experience worthwhile.
Oozing in Jamaican flavour is an ENFJ man with a warm smile and friendly disposition. Students, vote for me because I am both qualified and available to commit to this role. My 5 years of teaching experience with students from varying socio-economic backgrounds paired with my mentorship, hosting and creative experience serve as a true testament that I am a Homo sapiens who loves working in communities and forging insightful and life-long memories. I am not afraid to speak nor listen and I can assure you that you will see me around assisting when and where I can.
