Your Role

Hall Community Officers are a new role for the 23/24 academic year. They will be student leaders in halls, helping to build strong communities and ensuring that all students have a positive living and learning experience in their accommodation. Hall Community Officers will help to develop vibrant and inclusive communities in halls by organising and participating in events and activities.

Your Responsibility

  • Organise and participate in events and activities for UCL Accommodation residents – you can apply for a small events budget to support this.
  • Represent your fellow UCL Accommodation residents and meet regularly with Accommodation staff.
  • Provide a link between students in your halls, the Union and the University
  • Be an active member of the Welfare and Community Zone

Your Eligibility

Current residents of the specific hall or hall groupings. Students here for 1 term only are ineligible to stand. Job shares are not permitted. Once you have moved out of Halls, you are no longer eligible to be a Hall Community Officer.

Time Required for Role

  • Being a Hall Community Officer is a part-time position and you will be expect to:
  • Attend Welfare and Community Zone
  • Contribute in Town Halls with UCL Accommodation
  • Contribute in forums with the Students' Union
  • Termly meetings with Accommodation Managers
  • The organisation of inclusive halls-based events

Welcome and Training

You will also be expected to attend specific Hall Community Officer Training on Tuesday 21 November at 17:00.
