Audrey Lee (She/her)
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

Hi, I'm Audrey! My main aim as Goldsmid House Community Officer is to make our hall a happy, welcoming place that feel like home, by ensuring everyone's voices are heard. By gathering your suggestions, I hope to plan and organise fun events and activities that reflect what you want to see.

Since we don't have a common room, I think it's especially important to have opportunities to meet and connect with each other in spaces designed by us, for us. In addition, I'll also make sure everyone's feedback is communicated with the Goldsmid staff, and help make our hall an even nicer place to live.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

My experience being part of a MUN conference's secretariat and leading a high school inclusivity campaign that worked closely with both staff and students has taught me a lot about leadership, teamwork, and communication. I'm also reliable, dedicated, and a good listener, which will help me ensure that everyone's voices in Goldsmid are heard, valued, and acted upon. I'll also always be open to any suggestions,  and ready to help with anything that you need.

Overall, my aim is to handle all the boring behind-the-scenes stuff - so that all you'll need to do is show up, and have fun

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

After living in Goldsmid House for over a month, I know that living in student accommodation can be some of the best times of our lives - but it can also be challenging. That's why I want to help create a happy, welcoming community in our hall that prioritises you and your ideas. My past experiences, and the skills I've developed through them, will help me make this happen. In addition, I moved to the UK for my studies when I was younger, which means that I've experienced both the international and local student perspective - helping me to relate to many of you. I hope I'll have your vote! :)
