Squash Club: Social Secretary

Hi I'm Toby and I'm hoping to be your social secretary for the upcoming year. While playing squash is at the heart of the club it's the socials that offer the best chance to properly engage with the many great members squash has. My main goal would thus be to offer the best range of socials possible throughout the year through:

• Organisation of sports night on Wednesdays
• Providing a range of socials such as seasonal events, meals out, and the reintroduction of the Squashathon
• Listening to member suggestions
• Working with other societies to provide the opportunity to experience other sports

I am running to bring a more structured and steadfast approach to squash social events.

Themes for sports nights will be more varied and consistent and posted early enough to allow for proper preparation.

There will also be more activities apart from Wednesday socials and activities not overtly centred around drinking.

I have been advised to make this statement more fun by slating the previous social secs but if I were to start doing that I doubt I'd be able to keep it under 1500 characters.
