Pi Media: Marketing Officer

Hi there! I'm Hamish, 2nd year history. I'm standing for marketing officer of Pi Media this year to be the person I wish was in this position when I was just starting out. If I have any regrets about my time at UCL so far, it's that I didn't participate in student journalism enough in 1st year. 

This is an experience that I have founded shared with a lot of other students, and so as marketing officer, I will pledge to conduct visible, approachable, and accessible recruiting campaigns in areas with high footfall, particularly during the first term. 

I plan not only to rely on traditional marketing strategies like social media and posters, but I'm also excited to try out some more inventive promotional material, like stickers and QR codes, to expand our reach and potential membership.
