Ronan Parker-Moore

Hi, I am Ronan, currently on the Labour Society committee, and I am hoping to be your Treasurer next year.

As a committee member, I have personally arranged a wide range of high-profile speakers this year, leading the discussions with a focus on politically important topics that matter to both the speakers and to us as Labour Society members. Speakers have included Peter Kyle, Ian Murray, Rosena Allin-Khan, David Lammy and others. In addition, I organised the Labour Society’s recent trip to parliament, where I conducted a talk with Lloyd Russell-Moyle. I feel that this experience demonstrates my confidence and ability to connect and engage with people working at the forefront of UK politics.

As Treasurer, I would have the resources to extend my reach and, building on Leo’s insightful work as President this year, I would not only invite front-bench MPs to deliver regular talks, organise political trips and book rooms for events but would also focus on organising debates, socials and campaigns that expand the society and ensure that it is an inclusive space which is welcoming to all students.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope I have your vote! :)
