Intellectual Property Society: Editor

Could an eyelash serum be considered a medical product? Can Quentin Tarantino auction off-scenes from Pulp Fiction in the form of NFTs? Is it immoral for the company ‘Qiaodan Sports Company Ltd’ to cause customer confusion by using Michael Jordan’s last name and the ‘Jumpman’ symbol in its branding?

If these questions seem interesting to you, you now understand why I love intellectual property law. Being a chemistry student, I rarely get to explore my passion for law in my studies, however as editor for the intellectual property law society, I hope to be able to produce my own writing on the current developments within the intellectual property sphere with my own chemical twist! I am also an aspiring Barrister with a particular interest in law in the Caribbean, and my aim as a member of the committee is to bring more encouragement for UCL students pursuing a career at the Bar, and increase awareness regarding careers in intellectual property within the science and engineering communities on campus.
