English Society : President

It is a truth universally acknowledged that English is my favourite subject. I am a passionate member of this society and would love to help build upon its presence within the Union with lots of more fun and exciting events. I feel that we could work with a number of other societies such as: film society, drama society, art society, writers society and many more to create events that will inspire students to explore their creative and literary talents. These could include: literary workshops in poetry and prose, book club sessions, film nights, book shop crawls, poetry cafes, talks, script writing and performances. 

I love working with a team of people and have twice been elected the project manager of student run businesses in Sixth Form (both of which were very successful). I also currently work as the assistant editor for a magazine in education, and I hope that I would be able to use some of the contacts I have made to arrange some inspiring talks for fellow students.
 

I hope that I would be able to provide our community with opportunities to take a step away from their studies to further explore their interests and talents whilst making new friends!
