Talal Ahmad
The responsibilities of a society treasurer are multifaceted. Overseeing the finances and budgeting for the society is an obvious part of the role along with union and external affairs. A treasurer should therefore be trustworthy and dedicated to the society, something I will strive to do. Having served as the Vice President and a Sponsorship director at 2 separate societies previously, I will bring an abundance of experience in event budgeting and logistics to EWB!
My plans for next year:
- Collaborate with a broader variety of organisations
- Increase sponsorship revenue
- Host engineering hackathons with lucrative prizes for students
Ultimately, I hope to improve the financial affairs at EWB and provide our members with better all round opportunities next year!
