Robin Kwon
Electronic music has played an important part in my life these past few years. I have been mixing and listening to minimal, micro-house, and techno, and I feel that it is time for me to grow further in this music world. I hope to be able to bring my stone to the edifice by helping EMS grow and thrive. Together, we can make UCL students bounce to bangers for the year to come.
In the past, I have filled multiple roles in committees within UCL societies such as PhotoSoc, Green Economy society, CivSoc, etc. A few years ago, I was also the communication manager for a young art start-up. Currently, I am also working with Everyone's Invited on social media output. Lastly, I gained a lot of experience in publicity this year as I head-organised a National event for the European Youth Parliament, gathering around 130 people together. With the use of social media, combined with my photo and videography skills, I have also managed to fundraise an expedition to Antarctica.
I believe I have the skills and abilities to promote EMS events to a broad range of students. I am confident in my capability of using my community and the existing UCL music community to create events like we have never seen before. It is time to bring everyone in front of soundsystems!
