Cheerleading Club: Sponsorships & Volunteering Secretary

My name is Ana, I am currently a base for Bolt and a First Year Economics and Business with EES student I would like to run for Volunteering and Sponsorship Sec as I believe I have the right skillset for this position.

I fell in love with cheer when I joined the cheerleading society in my first year. I had no experience in cheer, but I got amazing support from my team, coaches, and the rest of the cheerleading club. 

I have experience in getting sponsorships as I have recently worked on a Humanitarian Aid project for Ukraine. I have found and given proposals to many companies. This project gained so much exposure and as of today we have sent 18 20-tonne lorries to Lviv. This project allowed me to coordinate many companies and manage volunteers.

I also have experience in coaching, which can be a useful aspect when volunteering to coach at schools. I’ve danced for 15 years of my life and once I gained enough experience I helped out my dance teachers to teach their classes, allowing me to gain teaching experience.

As part of being a corporal at Air Cadets, I organised fundraising events to raise money for charities, like Cancer research, and for our own squadron as at the time we were struggling with money.

Therefore, I would like to run for the Sponsorship and Volunteering Sec as I believe I have had a lot of exposure and experience in both fields. I would love to give back to the club, giving the club more opportunities to perform next year and give back to the community.
