Hey! I’m Kajol (also go by kaz) I’m a second year medical student and I would love to be your TEDx VP for the next year <3
Having been the arts society events officer, I have experience with organising and planning classes/workshops, and collaborating with other societies, remaining committed and consistent to the society through our regular weekly events the past year. So I would like to take this further and kickstart some events, collab workshops and the conference for TEDx society in the upcoming year! I have a great appreciation for spreading awareness and knowledge thought public speaking events, having attended several though different societies last year, learning much from them. They provided ample opportunity to network, and teach me the value of interdisciplinary talks, furthering my excitement for subjects I’m interested in - so I’d like to share this with others!
Whether you’re interested in health, the environment, politics, arts or sciences, we want to enable people with various interests to come together to exchange ideas and their perspectives, so I hope TEDx is for you and that I have your vote :))
Thanks for taking the time to read
Kaz xo
Hi everyone! I'm Claudia, running to be your next TEDx Soc Vice President. As a former TED Talk speaker and MUN President who has chaired a room of 500, I've seen how one idea, in the right space, can completely change how a room thinks—and I want to bring that into a soc where ideas are not just heard, but actively discussed, challenged, and built upon together. As VP, I want this to be more than something you show up to but a space where every member, regardless of experience, feels confident to speak, question, and grow. My key initiatives include:
- Increase hands-on discussion experiences—monthly interdisciplinary discussion groups, structured panel debates on current global issues, and case-study sessions based on real-world decisions
- Strengthen speaker and talk quality—TEDx-style talks from students, academics, and professionals, with themed panels on AI ethics, climate policy, and inequality bringing different perspectives into one room
- Expand opportunities and networks—guest speakers from academia, industry, and policy, career-focused events across research, consulting, and public policy, and informal coffee chats that make networking feel accessible
Having led large-scale discussions and spoken on TED stages, I know what it takes to create spaces where people feel both challenged and heard. If elected, I'll make sure every member feels confident to speak up, every idea is welcomed, and every conversation leaves you thinking just a little differently than before!
