MODO Fashion Society: Co-Head of Photography

The collaboration between MODO and Photography Society is legendary. It has helped me believe in myself, as my inability to focus on one thing at a time suddenly calmed down as I looked through the lens, and tried to make the world see what I saw. The first time I experienced this was the Halloween Photowalk with MODO, and once I started, I could not stop- studio shoots, more photowalks; come rain or shine (literally, these models don't mess about), I'd always be excited to learn about how I need to adapt to the different styles offered by the incredible makeup, outfit and themes conjured up by the MODO team. Having worked backstage and on the runaway at this year's fashion show, I really appreciate and understand the work I have to deliver to reflect the immense effort put into every stich and sew by designers, as MODO is more than just the final look. MODO is about capturing this effort through the power of photography, and from following the brilliant Songju's work, I am confident I can celebrate the designers, makeup artists and models through my lens. I have also fostered excellent connections with the community, especially with models and designers. I have watched the creation of all 4 different outfits by a duo in this year's fashion show, and understand what is expected of me in terms of commitment level.

I’m standing for Co-Head of Photography because I genuinely love MODO and believe that I have both the creative vision and the leadership skills to help push our society even further next year.

Over the years, I’ve developed strong experience in photography, cinematography, editing, and creative direction, especially within fashion and social media content. But beyond technical skills, I think what makes someone right for this role is the ability to work well with people and turn ideas into something memorable! I want MODO to have a visual identity that people instantly recognise. Fashion is storytelling, and photography is one of the strongest ways to tell that story! :)

I also care a lot about teamwork. I want the photography team to feel ambitious and genuinely excited to create together. Some of the best creative work happens when people feel comfortable sharing ideas and pushing each other to a higher level, and I would love to help build that kind of environment within MODO.

Most importantly, I’m someone who puts real effort into the things I care about. I’m standing because I truly want to contribute to MODO’s growth and help create visuals and projects that people at UCL will genuinely remember.
