Golf Club: Operations Manager

I’m standing for Operations Manager because I think I’d be good at the behind-the-scenes work that makes range sessions run properly. I attended almost every range session this year and had a really good experience, which is a big part of why I want to get more involved. The sessions were welcoming and enjoyable, and I’d like to help build on that so more members feel the same way.

For a lot of people, range sessions are their first proper experience with the club, so I think they are really important. People should know where they need to be and who they can speak to when they arrive. It should feel easy to turn up, especially for newer members or people who have not played much before.

I’d work closely with the committee to make sure sessions are planned properly rather than being sorted at the last minute. I’d be there myself to welcome people, keep things moving, and make sure no one is left standing around feeling awkward or unsure of what to do. I also want the club to feel easy to contact. If someone messages the Instagram asking about a range session, they should get a proper response.

I’m standing because I care about the club running well week to week. I’d be someone who pays attention to the small jobs and helps make sessions smoother for everyone. When range sessions are well run, members enjoy themselves more and the club feels much more welcoming overall.
