Environmental, Social and Governance Society: Welfare Officer

I’m standing for Welfare Officer because I care about building communities where people feel genuinely welcome, supported and included.

Although I haven’t yet been involved in the ESG Society itself, that also why I want to run - coming in with a fresh perspective means I understand what it feels like to be new to a society: walking into rooms where you don’t know anyone and trying to fit in. I want to help make that experience easier and more enjoyable for everyone.

To me, ESG is fundamentally about responsibility towards people as much as systems. A strong society shouldn’t just focus on events and careers, but on creating an environment where members actually feel comfortable, connected, and valued. 

I’m approachable, enthusiastic, and willing to put real effort into making the society a positive space for everyone, whether they’ve been involved for years or are attending for the first time. I’d love the opportunity to help shape a society that people genuinely enjoy being part of.
