Argentine Tango Society: Treasurer

I am standing for Treasurer of the Tango Society because I want to help this society continue to grow. While having experience from this previous year, I am confident in ensuring our finances are organised, transparent, and sustainable. I am reliable, detail-oriented, and confident in managing responsibilities carefully, from budgeting events to keeping track of spending and membership costs. As someone who genuinely enjoys being part of the Tango community, I would be committed to supporting the committee and helping the society run smoothly behind the scenes so that members can continue to enjoy a welcoming and vibrant environment.

As an Economics student, I possess the necessary knowledge to efficiently manage and oversee finances. Additionally, I have plenty of experience doing so: I was the Logistical and Financial manager of several MUN events, I led the TEDxOISYouth project, and I have worked as a financial consultant for several small businesses. As a former dancer and someone interested in and involved in creative spaces, I understand the difference proper financial backing and management can make in the artistic sphere, especially the role it plays in allowing creatives to flourish. I pledge to ensure the Argentinian Tango Society remains financially backed so that members and committee alike can enjoy wholesome and engaging events year-round.
