As last year's events officer and an active member in the community, I believe I have the knowledge on how to best market our future events. As media officer, I will immediately guarantee certain things in the next school year:
Significantly increased social media interaction; An improvement to our instagram page to better show what our club does (and promote membership), and to continue improving our discord, among other things that you will see in the future

I'd also like to use this opportunity to thank everyone else in the committee last year, and every new person I was able to meet and befriend in this society in the past year, and would love to continue adding to this community.

I lowk like anime and can use Canva a little bit 🫡

Mariha Subhan

Hello! I’m Mariha and I’m running for the role of Media Officer.

To be honest, while I’ve been pretty active online this year, I haven’t been the most active in person (yes I know.. very fitting for an anime fan). However I’ve still had the chance to meet a lot of cool new people, and I’ve enjoyed the events that I have been to a ton! Everyone I’ve met has been incredibly friendly and I would love to be able to contribute and give back to this society. So when I saw that this role was still open, I thought why not? I can put my graphic design skills to good use, and encourage old and new fans of the medium to join Anisoc and foster an even better community next year.

I believe I’d be a good fit for the role due to my extensive experience making anime and kpop graphics as a teenager.. yes you read that right. Aside from that though, I do have recent design-related experience, mostly in UI/UX design. I’m also doing a marketing internship this summer that will involve the use of Canva as part of a charity rebrand, so I’ll be pretty experienced in the skills needed for this role.

I’m very passionate about anime and manga, and I’d love to reach more people through social media and show off how amazing the community and events are. 🩵
