Anatomy Society: Treasurer

Hello everyone! I’m Nicole Huang, an incoming Year 2 student doing Biomedical Sciences Stream 1 (Organs and Systems), and I would love the opportunity to contribute to the Anatomy Society as Treasurer! 

As treasurer, I will ensure our budget is managed responsibly to maximise opportunities for both academic and social events, making them accessible, engaging and beneficial. 

I have previous experience handling event funding in high school, the following being 

•  A student-led event in high school funded by the charity Kids4Kids, delivering an ‘English learning day’ for the HK JF Kennedy school, with 20+ volunteers -> strengthening my skills in careful planning, budgeting and accountability

• Running a charity fundraiser supporting Operation Smile, selling handmade candles ->  managing sales and balancing the profit-to-cost ratios to ensure financial efficiency

I hope to maintain the society’s success by doing the following

• Work closely with the committee to plan affordable, high-quality events - (e.g the anatomy conference)
• Seeking funding opportunities to expand what our society can offer 
• Maintain transparent and efficient budgeting with regular financial updates for the committee and members
