Hi! I'm Anjali, a second-year student, and I'm running for Marketing Director because I think 180DC deserves a much bigger audience than it currently gets.
So many students assume consulting is something you need a finance degree, or a STEM background, or some prior experience to even think about. The reality is that 180DC works with charities and social enterprises on real projects. Curiosity, creativity, communication. Those are the skills that matter, and they come from every corner of this university.
My goal is to make that feel true from the outside too. More welcoming content, clearer explanations of what consulting actually involves day to day, and outreach that reaches students who might never have thought to look twice at a society like this.
I also have a deep personal commitment to posting everything in the right shade of green!!
Beyond that, I bring real experience in stakeholder outreach and business development, and I genuinely care about making 180DC feel like somewhere anyone can belong. If that sounds like the kind of Marketing Director you want, I'd really appreciate your vote
I am an Applied Medical Sciences student at UCL with strong interests in healthcare, finance, and creative communication. Through my degree, I have enjoyed the analytical side of healthcare, but I have become increasingly interested in how business decisions shape healthcare systems and innovation. Consulting appeals to me because it involves solving complex problems while gaining broad commercial exposure.
As Marketing Director, I would focus on building an engaging and welcoming presence for the society. I believe good marketing is not just about promotion, but about creating a community people genuinely want to be part of. I want to showcase the opportunities within 180 Degrees Consulting in a way that feels ambitious, inclusive, and approachable to students from all backgrounds.
Alongside my analytical background, I bring creativity and communication skills through my experience in art and leadership. I took Art at A-Level and worked on a mural project, which strengthened my visual communication and creativity. I have also choreographed university dance competition pieces, leading teams under pressure and developing strong teamwork and organisational skills.
These experiences have taught me how to engage people, collaborate effectively, and create work that leaves a lasting impression. I would bring creativity, initiative, and enthusiasm to help grow the society’s visibility and encourage more students to get involved.
